140813 Park Yoochun Mentions TVXQ + Jaejoong’s supporting message to Yunho

20917934

“Two tried to stay while three tried to leave. I hope all of us are happy right now…”

This is what Park Yoochun had to say about JYJ’s split from TVXQ, a group that recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, five years ago.

In an interview with edaily StarIn ahead of the release of ‘Sea Fog’, Park Yoochun was asked to rate his activities since the dissolution of TVXQ, to which he replied, “I was happy.” He continued to add, “But as time went on, I began to think, ‘What was it all for?’ It was probably a choice we all made for ourselves as individuals. Even the ill feelings I once had towards them are gone now. I truly hope that all of us are happy right now.”20140813093907067

Park Yoochun said, “I’m really excited to see the drama ‘Night Watchmen’, which Yunho appears in.” ‘Night Watchmen’ is MBC’s current Monday-Tuesday drama that began airing after the end of ‘Triangle’, which JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong appeared in.

Park Yoochun reminisced about his old colleagues as he said, “I hope it all works out for all five of us,” and “If we’re able to get together and have a glass of soju together one day, even that alone would be great, don’t you think?”

TVXQ made their debut in 2004 with ‘HUG’ and released a stream of hits such as ‘O-Jung.Ban.Hap’ and ‘MIROTIC’, becoming the most popular Korean idol group ever. Since splitting into a two-membered TVXQ and three-membered JYJ due to problems with their contract, they have been expanding their activities to the drama, movie and musical industries, showcasing their prevailing popularity and influence.

Park Yoochun recently made a comeback as both a singer and actor. JYJ released their second full-length album on the 29th of July and held their Seoul concert on the 9th. His first movie ‘Sea Fog’ was released on the 13th.

‘Sea Fog’ is based on a play that follows six sailors as their boat is flooded by a group of stowaways. In the movie, Park Yoochun plays Dong Shik, the youngest crew member who falls in love with Hong Mae (Han Yaeri), who becomes a stowaway to find her lost brother.

Jaejoong Reveals 3 Reasons why He Makes a Decent Boyfriend

Compilation 🙂

Jaejoong, a member of the K-pop boy band JYJ and an actor, talked about how he acts in a relationship during an interview with local media outlets on Wednesday.

Comparing himself to his character Youngdal, the fledgling actor said that he is honest when it comes to love.

“Just like my character in the drama ‘Triangle’ who gets into fight or conflicts outside but becomes a shy guy in front of his love Jung-hee, I am honest. I cannot hide my feelings or have a poker face when I love someone,” Jaejoong said.

On top of that, the popular idol was asked to give three reasons why he makes a good boyfriend.

He replied, “I am a guy who thinks before he talks. And I am not shy about being physically intimate with my girlfriend. Also, I spare no time, effort, power and money for my love. That’s why I am a decent guy.”

Jaejoong played the lead character Huh Young-dal, a low-class good-for-nothing who later becomes a casino CEO, in the recently ended drama “Triangle.”

In the TV series about separated brothers who are reunited after 20 years, Jaejoong gained acclaim for his sophisticated acting.

Meanwhile, his group JYJ made its long-awaited comeback with its second studio album “Just Us” and the music video for the title track “Back Seat,” released on July 29.

JYJ is to hold the third “JYJ Membership Week” expo in Seoul from July 31 through Aug. 3 for its fan clubs. The event has been held annually in the capital for free since 2012, drawing more than 20,000 fans each year from home and abroad.

The band is also scheduled to embark on its Asian concert tour “The Return of the King,” with the first concert to kick off on Aug. 9 in Seoul. The idols are set to visit eight cities across Asia including Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.

130124 ‘Solo Singer’ Kim Jaejoong, “The Reason I Don’t Use The Name ‘Hero’…”

Kim Jaejoong, the emotional and talented vocalist of JYJ and the actor who has appeared both on TV and on the big screen, is taking on a new challenge as a solo singer.

Trying out a new genre that he hasn’t sung before, Kim Jaejoong collaborated with Kim Bada to create a song that carries the traditional rock genre with a unique color that accentuates his powerful vocal talent.

Putting all the emotions and untold stories of the past ten years as a singer and actor into the lyrics of his first solo mini album, Kim Jaejoong  is full of anticipation for the new challenge he faces.

20130124080809426-1

There’s a negative view on idols pursuing a musical career in the rock genre. This is one of the reasons why Moon Hee Joon had so many anti-fans when he began pursuing a solo career after H.O.T disbanded.

“I took those negative views into consideration. Because rock is a completely different genre from the styles that I’ve sung till now, I tried really hard to get rid of the habits I’d formed over the years, and I learned how to sing and express my emotions in the traditional form of rock.”

Though he was nervous about taking on a new genre, he was determined to overcome any difficulties and succeed. Instead of an excessive transformation, he worked hard to absorb the traditional form of rock and thanks to the help of his fellow musicians, he was able to successfully create an album.

“When I first chose rock as my preferred genre and set out to make an album, I didn’t think I’d be working with such great seniors who directed me and wrote songs for me. I received such great help and I was able to learn so much about the genre I’ve always liked.”

Kim Jaejoong’s collaboration with Sinawi’s vocal Kim Bada has become a new learning experience and discovery for him. From the genre’s specific vocalization to changing his singing style, Kim Jaejoong had to go through an intensive training procedure to get to where he is now.

“It was really hard to change my singing style. If you listen to my mini album and compare the voice from the first track and the last, doesn’t it sound like two different people? ‘One Kiss’ has a lot of high notes, so I felt like I was in another world (laughter). It felt like I was back to being a rookie, but I didn’t throw away my original style to fit the rock genre, I just worked hard to find a way of changing my style slightly to go with the genre.”

Kim Jaejoong participated in the song- and lyric-writing process of his entire album. Kim Jaejoong wrote down all the emotions and hidden stories of his life as a singer and actor in the lyrics of his songs and showcased his extraordinary talent yet again.

“I tend to write lyrics pretty quickly. It might have taken me a while if I was writing something where I had to create a story, like in a novel, but since most lyrics aren’t that embellished, I write them pretty quickly. It took me around 15 to 20 minutes to write the lyrics for ‘I’ll Protect You’ from the ‘Protect the Boss’ OST and ‘Even When I’m Alive, It Feels Like a Dream’ from the Dr. Jin OST. But it took me three days to write the lyrics of ‘One Kiss’. I think that’s the longest time it’s taken me to write lyrics.”

130113 JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong Is Still ‘Hero Jaejoong’ In His Fans’ Hearts

20130111112112677

There are still many fans who remember JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong as TVXQ’s Hero Jaejoong.

Ahead of his solo concert, Kim Jaejoong received suggestions from fans for songs he should sing during his concert, and a flood of request came in for him to perform songs by ‘TVXQ’.

On the 12th, Kim Jaejoong held an event that took suggestions for songs he should perform at his ‘You, My and Mine’ concert on the 26th and 27th of January through comments that were posted on his official Facebook page.

The event took place for two hours and collected around 8,800 comments and 7,500 ‘likes’. Kim Jaejoong’s popularity was proven when comments were left by fans from Korea, other Asian countries such as Japan and China, as well as overseas fans who spoke English and Spanish.

However, the suggestions showed that the fans ‘want to see Hero Jaejoong again’.

Most of the fans’ suggestions were TVXQ songs such as ‘HUG’ and ‘honey funny bunny’. There were fans who requested songs by other singers such as ‘Lovers’ by Lee Seon Hee, but most of the requests were TVXQ songs.

Hero Jaejoong, Kim Jaejoong’s stage name during his time as a member of TVXQ, ranked high on the most searched rankings of various portal sites after the event began, mirroring the wishes of the fans.

Meanwhile, former TVXQ members Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu (JYJ) filed an injunction against their former agency SM Entertainment on July 31st, 2009 for an unlawful exclusive contract. They have been participating in activities independent from SM ever since the Courts accepted their injunction.

The legal battle ensued between the two sides with SM Entertainment filing an exclusive contract validity confirmation and compensation for damages lawsuit in April, 2010, which was counteracted by JYJ’s exclusive contract invalidity confirmation lawsuit. The lawsuit came to an end on the 28th of November last year through voluntary arbitration.
